Machine Fleet and Machining 

The current machine fleet consists of 21 single-spindle CNC lathes: 20 sliding-headstock machines (Hanwha–Tornos–Tsugami) with diameters from 2 mm to 38 mm and up to 10 controlled axes, plus a 7-axis Nakamura VT 100 lathe with a 42 mm bar capacity. All the latest-generation machines are networked in accordance with Industry 4.0 requirements.

The fully customized management system was developed at Famit and integrates all technical, production and commercial aspects within a single platform, from feasibility studies and machine programming to personnel management and the flow of raw materials and finished products, making our production system highly efficient while remaining extremely flexible.

Famit has a cooling system consisting of 6 intake roof units and 4 extraction units, providing a total air exchange of 108,000 cubic meters per hour, thereby reducing temperature fluctuations during the warmer months to benefit process stability and operator comfort.
